Our individually designed Windermere bedrooms in the Main House look directly out onto Windermere and the gardens. All these rooms are light and airy and provide your own piece of country house living. Some sit on the ground floor, with a separate entrance for muddy boots and dogs.
The luxurious rooms offer one of the most splendid views in the world, looking out of Windermere and the surrounding fells. Each room has its own seating area from which to enjoy the magic of Windermere and the delightful hotel gardens. The finest Italian marble bathroom leads to a walk-in drench shower and a wonderful collection of Bath House toiletries, lotions and soaks.

The health benefits of cold water swimming are very well known. With our lake frontage you can step into the lake from your front door. We recommend lowering yourself in the lake slowly from our jetty to let your body acclimatise first. Extra towels are available in our reception and can be delivered to your room.
