Christmas at Langdale Chase

A large, well-lit Christmas tree in the lounge area

There’s a special kind of warmth that fills Langdale Chase at Christmas. The fires glow, the trees sparkle, and every corner feels ready to embrace the season.

Here, the festivities unfold at an unhurried pace, with long, indulgent dinners, relaxed moments in the lounges, and lakeside walks wrapped in winter air. It’s a Christmas that feels intimate, welcoming and beautifully refined.

Welcome to your Christmas at Langdale Chase – a time to join in as much or as little as suits you. Arrive from 1pm, giving yourself plenty of time to settle in, explore the hotel and find your feet.

Do join us in the Main House for your festive afternoon treats and a glass of mulled wine, then choose how you’d like to spend the hours that follow. Perhaps a breath of crisp winter air along the lakeside paths, a quiet moment by the fire, a chapter of a good book or a board game shared with loved ones.

As evening approaches, celebrations begin with champagne and canapés before you move through to the Dining Room for a four‑course dinner from our seasonal à la carte menu. Soprano singer, Iona Fisher, will fill the night with classic Christmas favourites, adding a touch of magic before you retire to the bar for a final nightcap.
