In the peaceful splendour of the Dining Room or on the terraces, this most celebrated of British traditions is a highlight of any stay. Just like Edna Howarth, the chatelaine of Langdale Chase in the 1890’s, this is a daily ritual – traditional savouries, scones and delicious fancies are freshly made by our pastry chefs every morning. The finest Cumbrian clotted cream and Scottish strawberry jams provide the ultimate treat, particularly when a glass of champagne is on hand too!
Afternoon tea is served in the Dining Room and weather permitting, on the terraces and in the gardens.
