1. General Terms

By hiring water sports equipment all guests agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

I understand that all water sports carry an element of risk. The risks inherent to the activity and equipment have been made clear to me and I expressly acknowledge that my use of the equipment is voluntary, not supervised by Langdale Chase employees and that I have elected to participate despite the risks.

Langdale Chase does not offer water sports instruction, guests confirm they have suitable knowledge and experience to use the equipment safely.

Guests confirm that they will only carry use the equipment within their ability level and of which I am able to retain control of at all times.

Guests confirm that I do not have any health conditions or impairments which could impede the safe use of the equipment being provided by Langdale Chase.

 

2. Booking & Payment

All bookings must be confirmed in advance. Payment is required at booking.  Any queries regarding the payment are to be made to Reception or Reservations.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity time. Any cancellations within 24 hours of departure will not be eligible for a refund.

 

4. Last-Minute Cancellations

In the interest of passenger safety, last-minute cancellations may occur due to adverse weather conditions. The decision to cancel or delay a trip due to weather is at the sole discretion of Hotel. If cancelled due to weather, guests will be offered an alternative date, where conditions and availability allows, or a full refund.

 

5. Late Arrivals

All guests are expected to arrive on time.  Late arrivals will not be reimbursed

 

6. Liability & Personal Belongings

The Hotel and Team Members cannot be held responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of personal property while on site. Guests are advised to always take care of their belongings.

 

7. Conduct & Safety

All water sports activities must stay in sight of the hotel. Buoyancy aids, leashes (paddleboards only) and wetsuits under 15 degrees must be worn at all times.

A charged mobile phone must be carried at all times on the water with a means of contacting the hotel in an emergency.

A safety briefing will be given before going out on the water you MUST abide to the safety briefing.

 

8. Under 18’s

Under 18’s must be supervised by an adult at all times when on the water. Under 11’s must be supervised one to one with a parent in double kayaks.

 

9. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be subject to change without prior notice. The latest version will always be available upon request.

 

By proceeding with the booking, the whole party acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
